One day I stood in front of this small store with a big sign in old curved letters: ANTIQUARIAT (second-hand bookshop). Something fascinated me. The smell of these old Books, which were stacked in this small vault were creating an indescribable atmosphere.  I talked to the second-hand bookseller about his love for books. He told me about the losing Interest for antique works and that as a consequence a lot of  owners have to give up their stores. This means that not only a lot of treasured books are lost, but also a wealth of knowledge and a large piece of culture.
I therefore decided to create memories of these small worlds.  Unfortunately, one of these special places no longer exists.
This work is about images photographed on black and white film, which I developed and enlarged  onto ancient book pages. By returning the photographs to the ancient book pages as their existence, they become objects of memory.
